On our last day in Chiang Mai we visited the sprawling flower market along the Ping river. The flower market is open 24hrs a day and was bustling with buyers due to the fact that it was the day before Valentines day. We were surprised to see how widely celebrated this holiday was in Thailand.
While walking through the market we heard a lot of noise coming from this crowd of men...
They were all huddled around a small television watching a Muay Thai match. Bets were being placed as fast as the action on screen and with every kick the men grew louder and more excited. It was a funny sight to find in the middle of the flower market.
