Milford Sound, New Zealand

We traveled 5 hours from Queenstown to Fiordland National Park to visit one of New Zealand most famous destinations, Milford Sound.  We were lucky to have a guide who made several stops along the way. The drive to Milford Sound may have been just as beautiful as the sound itself.

Our guide informed us that if you drink from this stream you will live to be 102.

New Zealand's main industry is agriculture.  Cows and sheep are seen grazing all over the hills.  The New Zealand cheese and ice cream was delicious and it was a much needed break from rice.

  1. WOW - It looks like you had amazing weather, which is rare at the Milford Sound. I did the Milford trec...one of the most beautiful hikes of my life. However, it rained most of the time and I did not have the views that y'all had. It was still a magical experience with the gushing waterfalls all around from the rain. They say your life is complete if you visit the Milford Sound once in the rain and once in the sunshine...looks like we all need to get back there someday.
